... I'm coming to know more about David's extraordinary life.
Have not finished the book yet but due to the influence of what I've read so far, videos and blog the author has been posting I purchased a McSpadden dulcimer.

Clearly a labor of love, Pluck provides fascinating details about David Schnaufer's musical journey.... the book lives up to the "Life and Times" subtitle by including a huge cast of supporting characters who interacted with David and who were also important participants in the "dulcimer revival"....I was fortunate to have studied with David and gotten to know him over several weeks and was delighted that Paulus captured not just his dazzling technique on the instrument, but also his humor, gentleness, patience, and kind encouragement. I highly recommend Pluck.
